Joystick only moving once

I am trying to setup a Logitech Joystick to work with my CNC router. I am mapping keys to control the cutting head of the device. When I hold the right arrow down, it will move right and continue to move right until I stop pressing the right arrow. Same if I want to go left, if I press the left arrow key on the keyboard it will continue to move left until I stop pressing the left arrow. However I have mapped for example the right arrow key, and as long as I hold the joystick button to the right, it will move one time and then stop. If I continue to keep pushing and stopping the right arrow key that has been mapped to the Logitech joystick it will slowly move to the right. However I would like to have it the same as the keyboard, as long as I press the joystick to the right it will keep going right until I stop.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

I have the same question. Only difference is I'm using a 3D Architectural Drawing program, not a CNC machine
