Logitech Extreme 3D Pro not working...

Postby MR.GUS » Sat Dec 28, 2019 7:26 pm

Hi There.

I hope you can help.

This is my setup:
MacBook Pro 2917
Mojave 10.14.6
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro connected with USB to USB > USBC adaptor

I am wanting the Joystick to work with UnReal Engine in edit mode and play mode.
It works partially out of the box. In UnReal, but not outside UnReal. Inside UnReal for example the hat does not work and i have no Jaw control.
Simply it needs remapping.

I downloaded and installed Joystick mapper
Version 1.2 (6)
hoping it will allow the joystick to work on the OS level, and act like the mouse/touchpad
In System Preferences > Privacy and Security > Privacy I added Accessibility rights to the Joystick Mapper.

Problem:
Nothing the joystick does, regardless if I use my own preset or any of the sample presets, moves the pointer or does anything else outside UnReal.
I can however see the one line after the other light up in your application (when in edit mode), when I use the joystick.

I know I can configure the Joystick inside UnReal with a blueprint but is is pretty complex...

I saw a Joystick Mapper tutorial on Youtube and the kid there showed how his game controller moved his pointer around on the screen once he had selected a preset, and he did not have a game open.

What am I missing?

Thank you on beforehand.
