Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Input Issues

I just recently downloaded Joystick Mapper and Joystick Show onto my MacBook, and the pro controller connects just fine to my computer through bluetooth and through wired.
It works well when I connect it to Steam and emulators. So I know it isn't a connection problem between my controller and computer, it must be something between my controller and the applications.

When I connect the pro controller, and it says it's connected, to Joystick Mapper and Joystick Show, none of the inputs from my controller register. Joystick Show shows nothing, and Joystick Mapper's "scan" function doesn't work and it wont let me control any part of my computer with the Pro Controller.

Any help would be amazing.

This sounds like the same issue I'm having with my bluetooth Switch Pro controller. For more information, I'm on macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6. It's worked fine in the past, but in the past few days I've been seeing this problem.

If we can get a response from someone to address this issue, that would be great
