Activate Preset by Default

Postby TallGamerDad » Wed Jan 25, 2017 8:00 am

Using: OS X 10.9.5, 2009 Mac Mini
I have been trying to set up an old computer to do some couch gaming with a third party Xbox controller.

Joystick mapper has been great and worked out well for me apart from one issue: I still need to connect a physical mouse to enable the preset! It might seem like a minor thing, but it would be really convenient if I could select a preset to be enabled by default when Joystick Mapper is launched. That way I could get it set up where I *only* need to have the controller connected and no mouse/keyboard.

I know this is a year later, but I wholeheartedly agree. Right now I have some really UGLY applescript working that 1) changes all my function keys to actual function keys, but to address Joystick Mapper 2) I activate Joystick Mapper, and then call on the Finder to click at pixel (58, 59), which is where the checkbox for the top preset is on my screen. (And in case anyone cares, I then open a button cheat-sheet so I can remember what goes where.)

In any case, long story short, it would be great if a default present could be specified upon application launch.

Thanks a lot for the app! It works great.
